    Highway Naming Conventions

    Stumbled upon this great summary of the rules that govern the numbering of highways in the US.  Not surprising, there is in fact a very elaborate system that tries to make sense of it all.  I suppose we have President Eisenhower to thank for this.  I like Ike.  Now which way to 495?
